Cabin Luggage
Valuables including your passport, medicine, fragile or perishable items must be carried on
board as cabin luggage. Cabin luggage is fine, and the limited volume of it sure makes you
converge quickly on what equipment you might actually use at the other end.
If your cabin luggage is overweight or too big, you might be asked to check it
in to the hold. Only one piece of cabin luggage is allowed, subject to the regulations imposed on the
dimension, weight and type of such cabin luggage. The maximum size of the cabin hand baggage cannot exceed 55
cm x 40 cm x 20 cm (20 x 14 x 9ins). If your cabin luggage is overweight or too big, you might be asked
to check it in to the hold.
The nice thing is, because of the crackdown on flight regulations, most airports will have a
sample stand near the check in counters so you can test whether or not your bag will fit and meet the cabin
luggage size requirements. A laptop bag normally will not be regarded as your one item that is allowed
in the cabin.
Any so-called hand or cabin luggage also must be searched for prohibited
objects, again mostly for weapons. A list of forbidden items in checked or cabin luggage is available
from the airline agents. Passengers are able to take liquids through security check points again; however,
some restrictions still apply.
If you take the time to make sure your cabin luggage is the appropriate size and only contains
the appropriate items, you will be a part of the solution and not a part of the delay. Adhering to the
rules for cabin luggage is a simple way to get to your travel destination without any issues or
problems.
Make sure you buy a quality piece of baggage; something that falls out of the cabin and breaks
into pieces is not going to be worth it.
